Meet Nika...
My name is Nika Anderson, and I am a Registered Clinical Psychologist practising in Christchurch, New Zealand.
I provide psychological assessment and treatment for many psychological problems, including depression and anxiety. See my Clinical Interests and About sections for more information.
I am married with two young children, working part-time in my private practice, spending the rest of the time at home.
Clinical Interests
I work with adults, aged 18 years and over. If you want to enquire about work with adolescents and children, feel free to get in touch. I am more than happy to refer you to someone more experienced with these age groups.

I predominantly work from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) framework

I can support you in a range of areas related to your life such as pregnancy and parenthood, relationship problems, interpersonal issues, problem-solving, gender, sexuality and sexual dysfunction
Mental Health
As a Clinical Psychologist, I am trained and experienced in the assessment and treatment of mental disorders. I am ACC registered to provide assessment and treatment for sensitive claims.
Trauma and ACC work
I am registered to provide assessment and treatment for sensitive claims under the ACC ISSC contract
Transgender Care
I can undertake assessments for people who wish to commence hormone therapy through the public health system. I am passionate about providing a service which is inclusive of all people.
